Freehand with a large duck bill shape.
Beautifull straight grain all around in the bottom of a well dried and seasoned briar from the forest hills surrounding the Mediterranean sea in Barcelona.
Ergonomic form to fit well in your hand.
Black acrylic stem with a teflon cone, without filter.
I sign all pipes and tampers with my trade mark brand: a little circle piece of “antalis” (a genus of tusk shell) and Mediterranean red coral inside.
Few tiny pits in the straight grain.
High tobacco capacity for large smokes.
This pipe reminds me to:
MELANITTA FUSCA, the velvet scoter, also called velvet duck, which breeds over the north of Europe and Asia West of the Yenisey basin. The genus name is derived from the Ancient Greek melas “Black” and netter “duck”. The species name is from the Latin “fuscus”, dusky brown.
It´s characterized by its bulky shape and large bill. The velvet scoter is one of the species to which the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AENA) aplies.
